Fabric for coat

Fabric for coat

Watching yourself to buy such an indispensable thing in the wardrobe, like a coat, you probably wondered: why models, externally similar to the style and cut, so vary at their price? In fact, the answer is simple: the defining factor in this case will be the fabric from which the product is sewn.

We all buy a coat not for one season, and therefore the choice of material needs to pay due attention, including if you decide to sew a new thing on your own.

Tissue classification

Types of fabrics for sewing coat differ in a number of signs:

  • Main type of material (cotton, woolen, synthetic fiber base)+
  • The structure of the canvas (pile, cloth, thin-zone)+
  • Thread type in fabric (normal, twisted, double)+
  • relief
  • Color (monophonic or melange fabric)

What kinds of fabrics sew coat?

Woolen fabrics

Woolen fabrics in the production of the coat have long been on leadership positions due to their external qualities and functional characteristics. They are amazing warm, comfortable and at the same time light.

Wool-based fabrics differ in composition. There may be real-wool (almost 100% wool) or half-walled (about 50% of wool, the rest of synthetic fibers).

Let us dwell in more detail on the first group of fabrics.

Film fabric – one hundred percent wool, dense, but at the same time very soft to the touch, so it is easy to dramatically.

This is a rude material obtained from yarn with large nodules based on or in a duck, located at a certain distance from each other, as a result of which the stitched structure is obtained. Due to the tighteners, this fabric can easily deform and lose a presentable appearance. In addition, due to the loose structure, it quickly pollutes and is difficult to clean.

Fabric with diagonal interweaving, bulk and hard, made of twisted yarn (as a rule, sew summer coat out of it).

Fabric with melange effect, rough to the touch, but at the same time elastic, pleasant and practical in the sock.

This is a wool tissue that does not cause allergic manifestations with therapeutic properties (beneficial with joint problems), durable in the sock.

Rigid fabric with a short standing pile on the front side.

Camel’s wool

Camel wool has a characteristic light brown, very soft, perfectly saves heat. Such wool, of course, belongs to expensive, as well as coat wool and lamas.

Cashmere – the most elite fabric for the production of coat, on its manufacture are the finest fibers (twice the thinner of the human hair) from the undercoat of cashmere goats. As a rule, it is one-photon, but can be painted in a variety of colors, from pastel to screaming.

Semolest fabrics

We give examples and half-walled fabrics.

The same cashmere can include silk, viscose (which changes its properties to some extent).

Drap varies according to the composition: in addition to wool (often melange), it may include a capron, viscose, nitron, polyester. Is a heavy bulk tissue.

The pattern may be large or finely illuminated. From the inside the drape has a felt-like structure, which makes it easy to keep warm and protect well from wind.

Crook has a fiber of viscose, capron and nitron. Has a rough structure, stretched strongly with toe.

Cotton fabrics

These types of fabric are also practical. They are wear-resistant, hygroscopic, do not cause allergies, easy to operate, differ among themselves in the thickness of the yarn and the method of weave the thread. As for the coat, it uses a whole range of cotton-based tissues. Consider some of them.

Camping fabric

Cloak – Easy, Reconfigured fabric treated with water-repellent impregnation, Usually used for light coat models.

Valyan Tracodas

Valyan knitwear connects softness and coarse surface with a pile, it is very convenient to handle, its landing is ideal, light, but at the same time warm, almost never. Facial and the wrong side does not differ.

Jacquard is a pretty durable material, although his mass is insignificant. Outwardly, it is similar to a tapestry, stunningly looks at the expense of an intricate pattern (as a rule, images of colors). Fabric durable, simple in care.

Clothbook can also be on cotton basis.

Velor – a fabric with a soft pile on the surface, velvety to the touch, looks very presentable and expensive, while warm and practical, but with a long sock can wipe.

Velvet has a dilated surface into a rubber, in its appearance resembles velvet.

Boiled cotton

Boiled cotton (mercerized) – cotton, which has been processed by a special composition. As a result, a noble gloss is acquired, rich color, increased strength. Products from this material are practically not exposed to shrinkage and do not impenet.

Prints are different images deposited on any surface in this case on the fabric from which the coat is sewn. This is one way to attract attention, emphasize your individuality.

There are prints that never come out of fashion, for example, “Christmas tree” (another name “Corners”, “Loan strip”). As a rule, the “Christmas tree” is usually performed in restrained colors (black, shades of gray and brown). It can be vertical or horizontal.

“Goose foot”

Another no less popular print – “goose paw”. It is very stylish, attracts attention to its lines and form of the ornament. Traditionally, “foot” black and white, but now it is found in a wide variety of color combinations. Cell size can vary from a few millimeters to tens of centimeters.

You should also mention other prints that designers use when creating various coat models. This is a cell that many are associated with a warm plaid.

Several seasons from fashion does not go out (vertical or horizontal).

Leopard and geometry

Many fashion guards prefer animalistic prints (tiger and leopard first). And, of course, we should not forget about polka dots and geometric patterns.

Important note: If you choose a coat with a print, then supplement it with one-photon clothes, and no screaming accessories.

How to choose a fabric?

What exactly to give preference with all the variety of the range represented by the modern fashion industry?

Choose, of course, you yourself, because each person has its own perception of fabric, the same material for different people causes different tactile sensations. It should be remembered that the outerwear should have not only a presentable look, but first of all be practical and functional.
